NRS Ductile Iron Gate Valve Manufacturer in India

A NRS ductile iron gate valve uses an internally threaded stem that rotates within the valve while the gate moves vertically to isolate the pipeline. Because the stem does not rise above the body, the valve has a compact operating profile that is particularly useful in buried water networks, valve chambers and installations with restricted overhead clearance. Speciality Valve manufactures NRS ductile iron gate valve configurations for water and utility isolation, with the body, wedge, stem, seat and connection arrangement selected according to the service requirements.

Resilient Wedge and Stem Arrangement:

  • Non-rising stem: The stem rotates internally without moving vertically outside the valve.

  • Wedge movement: Stem rotation drives the wedge toward or away from the seating surfaces.

  • Resilient seating: An elastomer-covered wedge can provide tight shut-off when correctly matched to the service.

  • Full opening: The wedge moves clear of the principal flow passage when fully open.

  • Low-profile operation: The absence of external stem travel helps reduce required installation height.

  • Buried installation: The compact arrangement is well suited to underground valve chambers and water-main installations.

  • Isolation service: Gate valves are intended primarily for fully open or fully closed operation rather than continuous throttling.
